Description

INNOVAC® FT is an inactivated Salmonella gallinarum vaccine for active
immunization of chickens and turkeys against fowl typhoid disease. It is
prepared from five strains of Salmonella gallinarum bacteria.
COMPOSITION
Each 1ml dose of INNOVAC® FT contains a minimum of 2x108CFU of
inactivated Salmonella gallinarum bacteria in 1% formalin saline.
INDICATIONS
INNOVAC® FT is for active immunization of chickens and turkeys against
fowl typhoid disease (Salmonella gallinarum infections).
STORAGE
• Store between +2 C and +8 C (Refrigerator).
• Do not freeze.
• Protect from heat and direct sunlight.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
• Shake well before use.
• Dosage: Administer 1ml vaccine per bird by intramuscular injection into
thigh or breast muscles.
• Vaccinate only healthy birds.
• Use sterile syringes and needles, and avoid contamination.
• Once the vaccine bottle has been opened, it should be used immediately.
VACCINATION SCHEDULE
• First dose: 6-8 weeks of age.
• Second dose: 14-16 weeks of age.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS AND WARNINGS
• For veterinary use only.
• Do not use in sick or unhealthy birds.
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the label.
• Do not use if vaccine package or seal is broken or damaged.
• As may occur with all vaccines, rare allergic reactions may occur in some
vaccinated birds. If this occurs, seek veterinary advice.
• Blood or serum from vaccinated birds may test positive for antibodies
against Salmonella gallinarum and S. pullorum, and this may have implica-
tions for international trade. Contact local veterinary authorities for advice.
WITHDRAWAL PERIODS
• No withdrawal period.
