Dr. Zachary Rukenya is the Founder and Chairman of Davetis Enterprise Limited, a diversified agribusiness company specializing in veterinary vaccine distribution, animal feed manufacturing, pig farming, and agro-veterinary solutions.
With a strong background in veterinary medicine, agribusiness, and strategic leadership, Dr. Rukenya has guided the growth of Davetis into a company committed to improving livestock productivity, animal health, and sustainable farming practices across Kenya. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its operations in livestock nutrition and animal health while promoting innovation, farmer empowerment, biosecurity, and value chain development within the agricultural sector.
Dr. Rukenya holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine and a Master of Science in Natural Products and Bioprospecting from University of Nairobi. He also holds an International Diploma in Animal Feeds and Nutrition from Aeres University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands). In addition, he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management from Zetech University.
His expertise combines scientific knowledge, entrepreneurship, and strategic management, enabling him to provide leadership in livestock health systems, feed manufacturing, agribusiness development, and sustainable agricultural transformation. Through Davetis, he continues to champion practical solutions that support farmers, strengthen food security, and contribute to the advancement of the livestock industry in Africa.

Damaris Wanjiku serves as our CFO and Head of Human Resources, bringing strategic insight and multifaceted leadership to the company. With an MBA and extensive experience in financial management and people development, she plays a critical role in maintaining the company’s financial strength and cultivating a high-performance workplace culture. Her dual leadership positions reflect a unique ability to balance operational efficiency with employee well-being and organizational growth.

LEAH MBURU is an expert in Business and Financial management, and Strategy Advisory services. She is a holder of an MBA (Finance Option), BCOM (Accounting Option) qualification; Currently pursuing PHD – Public Policy at the University of Nairobi. Professional qualification - CPA and ACCA. She has attained a vast experience in Gender Finance, financial management, Accounting, Auditing and taxation, Administration, Operations and logistics management, Strategy and corporate governance, Capacity building and HR management. She has been a national and International financial management expert in business advisory services both in corporate and the small and medium businesses (SMEs) at the grassroots levels with population at the Bop, in strengthening their operations and financial management structures. She has worked in various sectors among them Manufacturing, Agriculture, Trade business in wholesale and retail, Hospitality, property management, and financial services sectors among others. She has volunteered her expertise in Rotary International clubs’ leadership where she has gained exposure in Grant management, Community services and Diversity in Gender Inclusion. In other engagements she has worked as a part time lecturer in KCA University. She has been passionate in working with communities especially women and youth and as a result she has developed programs that bring impact in the society which include, Co-operative performance appraisal program “MyCopas” Program and “Skymap” mentorship program for the youth.

Dr. Nicodemus Mutinda Kitukutha is an accomplished Accounting and Finance scholar, consultant, and public financial management expert with over twelve years of combined experience in university teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, and financial management practice. He holds a PhD in Business Management (Finance) from the University of Debrecen, Hungary, an MBA in Finance from Kenyatta University, a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance), and is a Certified Public Accountant – CPA(K). He is also a registered member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Dr. Nicodemus has built extensive expertise in Accounting, Finance, Public Financial Management, Auditing, Budgeting, Research Supervision, Sustainability, and Management Consultancy. He has served in both academic and public sector leadership roles, combining practical financial management experience with scholarly research and mentorship. His professional journey has seen him work with institutions including the County Government of Kiambu, County Treasury Kiambu, Zetech University, Open University of Kenya, Finstock Evarsity College, University of Debrecen, RCM Online College, NIBS Technical College, and Vision College.

In academia, he has lectured and supervised students in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Research Methods, Financial Reporting, and Management courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has successfully mentored research candidates in proposal development, methodology, data analysis, thesis writing, and scholarly publication using both virtual and blended learning approaches.

As a researcher and published scholar, Dr. Nicodemus has contributed to peer-reviewed studies in Sustainability, E-Commerce, Public Financial Management, Capital Structure, Credit Risk Management, and Industry 4.0. His publications have appeared in respected international journals and academic forums, reflecting his commitment to innovative and impactful research that addresses societal and industry challenges.

Professionally, he has extensive experience in Public Finance Management, IPSAS/IFRS reporting, budgeting, grants management, audit coordination, strategic planning, and institutional financial oversight. Currently serving as a Fund Administrator at the County Government of Kiambu, he oversees fund operations, strengthens internal controls, prepares financial reports, and supports organizational accountability and compliance.

Beyond his professional and academic engagements, Dr. Nicodemus is passionate about mentorship, community empowerment, and institutional leadership. He actively participates in community-based capacity building initiatives, student mentorship, and governance roles, including serving as Chair of the Parent Association at MaryHill Girls High School and as a Board Member at Davetis Enterprise Limited. Through his consultancy firm, Nicksion & Partners, he continues to provide expert advisory services in finance, accounting, auditing, and management consultancy.

Edward Nganga leads our finance and compliance function with a strong background in budgeting, financial oversight, and regulatory adherence. His attention to detail and commitment to precision ensure that our financial systems remain effective and compliant with national standards. Edward’s insights support sound decision-making and financial stability. The board highly values his dedication and expertise, which continue to drive the company’s operational excellence and long-term resilience.

Lilian Sabina Ezekiel is a veterinarian with a background in Veterinary Medicine(animal health and production) serves as a Board Member and Head of Sales and Marketing at Davetis. She plays a key role in driving business growth, strengthening customer relationships, developing marketing strategies, and supporting the company’s mission of improving livestock productivity and animal health solutions.
With expertise in veterinary services and agribusiness, she contributes to strategic decision-making, farmer engagement, and the promotion of sustainable livestock management practices. Her work focuses on connecting innovative animal health solutions with farmers while supporting the growth and expansion of the business.
She also holds a Diploma in Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in addition of her veterinary background. Her combination of veterinary knowledge and information technology provides a multidisciplinary approach to business operations, customer service, digital systems, and organizational development.
Through her leadership at Davetis, she continues to champion farmer support, livestock health improvement, and business strategies that contribute to sustainable agricultural growth and enhanced productivity within the livestock sector.
